Medium Baskets

I made four medium-sized 'basket' drawings on beautiful Canson cold press watercolor paper. The design of these is based on isometric architectural drawing which is a type of perspective drawing where things shown in the drawing do not diminish toward a vanish point. All very technical and somewhat arcane but I think it makes for interesting patterning and depiction. I'm attracted to the minimalism of the drawing, it highlights the slight variations of my hand and the material. The black acrylic paint I used (Stuart Semple Black 2.0) is so black that they have an optical quality to them.

Even More Basket Drawings

I continue to explore the 'basket' motif. Graphic, architectural, optical, all thinks I am fascinated with. The last few days I have been working on larger paper but I wanted to post this series and a few others on the smaller paper.
