Trying to work through the January blahs, it is a struggle some times. but I continue to cut apart old India Ink drawings and reassembling them. This is the newest one.
These are two black and white panoramic photos made at the magic hedge this fall. The Magic Hedge is a bird sanctuary in Chicago near Montrose Harbor. I used a negative of the top image as my Holiday card this year.
I continue to work in a similar manner to the last drawing; that is cutting apart india ink drawings and reconstructing them. Initially they were looking very landscape like. I'm hoping to move toward a more abstract image, something that evokes mark making on a couple of different scales.
